Cookie exchange FAQ

How do I make a cookie exchange sign-up sheet?

Start from this template, set how many dozen each baker brings, and share the link. Each baker claims a Cookie baker slot and writes the cookie and its allergens in the note when they sign up.

How many dozen should each baker bring?

Take the number of bakers, multiply by how many of each kind you want every guest to go home with, and divide by 12. With 12 bakers and 4 of each kind, that is 4 dozen each. The cookie exchange guide walks through the math.

How do I stop two people from bringing the same cookie?

Replace the Cookie baker slot with one slot per kind (chocolate chip, gingerbread, snickerdoodle), each with room for one person. Once a kind is claimed, the next baker picks something else.

Where do allergy notes go?

In the note field on the signup form. Ask every baker to list nuts, dairy, eggs, and gluten. The note shows next to their name on your signups list, so you can copy it onto the label cards.

Is it free?

Yes, with no ads on the page your guests open. This template has room for 21 signups, inside the free plan's 100 signups per event. The free plan runs one live event at a time, and an event stops counting once its date has passed.

Send it before the baking starts

Bakers need a week or two to plan, shop, and fill the freezer. Post the link early in December so the count is settled before anyone buys butter.
