Frequently Asked Questions
Can I stay on the free tier forever?
Yes. Free never expires and does not need a credit card. It includes 1 active event, 25 signups per event, and automatic 24-hour and 1-hour reminders. Upgrade to Pro when you need two events running at once, more than 25 signups, Create With AI, recurring events, or Venmo/PayPal collection.
What counts as an “active event”?
Active and draft events both count toward the Free plan's 1-event limit. An active event stops counting once its date has passed. Completed and cancelled events do not count either, so you can archive an event and start another without upgrading.
What is the 14-day free trial?
Pro and Teams both start with a 14-day free trial. A credit card is required to start, but you won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing. The trial is for the paid plans; Free is free forever and has no trial.
What's white-label on Teams?
Teams removes the "Powered by SignUpSpark" branding from your event pages, so attendees see only your organization's name and colors.
Do you take a cut of payments?
No. On Pro and Teams, attendees pay your Venmo or PayPal directly, and SignUpSpark charges no platform fees. Standard Venmo/PayPal fees may apply.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. Switch anytime from the billing portal. Annual costs less per month, and the switch is prorated.
