Question 1

Is SignUpSpark really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free includes 1 active event with up to 25 signups, automatic reminders, and zero ads on signup pages. It never expires and does not need a credit card. A second event or the 26th signup needs Pro: $8.25/month billed annually ($99/year) or $12/month, with a 14-day trial (card required). Create With AI is on Pro.

Question 2

How does SignUpSpark compare to SignUpGenius?

Accepted Answer

SignUpSpark has no ads on any signup page, guests sign up without an account, and we never send marketing email to your attendees. Pro is $8.25/month billed annually. SignUpGenius is larger and has been around much longer, with more reporting and admin options, and ads can show on its free-plan signups. If you run a big organization with complex reporting needs, it may suit you better. For a potluck, a snack rotation, or a volunteer day, SignUpSpark is simpler.

Question 3

What is Create With AI?

Accepted Answer

Create With AI drafts your event (title, description, time slots, and capacity) from a plain-English description. It is a Pro feature: 50 chats an hour, with more on Teams. On Free, you add the slots yourself.

Question 4

Can I collect payments through SignUpSpark?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on Pro and Teams. Collect for events, donations, or dues with the Venmo or PayPal account you already have. Attendees pay you directly and SignUpSpark charges no platform fees. Standard Venmo/PayPal fees may apply.

Question 5

Do participants need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Attendees sign up with just their name and email. No account, no password, no app.

Question 6

What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?

Accepted Answer

Pro is $8.25/month billed annually ($99/year) or $12/month billed monthly. Teams is $29.08/month billed annually ($349/year) or $39/month. Annual saves up to 31%, and you can switch anytime from your billing settings.

Question 7

Can I cancel or downgrade anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime with no penalty. If you downgrade, you keep your paid features until the end of your billing period.

Question 8

How do reminders work?

Accepted Answer

When someone signs up, they get a confirmation email. If the event has a date, they get a reminder 24 hours before and another 1 hour before. That's on every plan, including Free.

Question 9

Can I integrate with other tools?

Accepted Answer

Attendees can add any event to their calendar with one tap (Google, Apple, and Outlook via .ics). Beyond that, we don't offer third-party integrations like Slack or Zapier yet — tell us which ones matter most to you and we'll factor that into what we build next.

Question 10

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

All traffic to SignUpSpark is encrypted (HTTPS), data is stored with a managed database provider with regular backups, and we never sell your data.

Question 11

Do you offer refunds?

Accepted Answer

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. If you're not satisfied, contact support@signupspark.app for a full refund, no questions asked.

Question 12

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Export your signups to CSV anytime, on any plan. Your data belongs to you.

Question 13

Can I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. If you need help, email support@signupspark.app and we'll handle it for you.

Question 14

How do you handle attendee data and privacy?

Accepted Answer

Attendee data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we never sell it. Attendees only hear from us about the event they signed up for: their confirmation, reminders, and a notice if you change or cancel it. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Question 15

What happens if I exceed my plan limits?

Accepted Answer

Free includes 1 active event and 25 signups. When you hit either wall, you'll see a prompt to start a 14-day Pro trial (credit card required, cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing). Existing signups on the sheet stay in place.

Question 16

Do you have mobile apps?

Accepted Answer

SignUpSpark is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it directly from your browser to your phone's home screen. It opens like an app, with no app store download. Native apps are in the works.
