Group Gift
Group gift sign-up so two people do not buy the same thing
A class gift, a shower pile, or a coach collection. Claim a card amount or a wish-list item. Leave the wrapping to someone who likes tape.
Free. No credit card. People sign up without making an account.
What to put on the sheet
- The occasion and the date the gift needs to be ready.
- A spending limit in the description. "$25 gift card" is clearer than "contribute what you can."
- Named items from a wish list, each with a cap of one, if you are buying objects.
- Who holds the cash or the cards. Put that name in the event, not in a side chat.
- Wrapping, a card, and delivery as their own slots. Those jobs get forgotten.
- Your Venmo or PayPal handle if people are chipping in cash.
Example slots
Gift card, $25
8 spots. Same amount so nobody wonders if they under-gave.
Wish-list item
6 spots. Claim one thing from the list and write which one in the note.
Card and wrapping
2 spots. One buys the card, one wraps or bags the pile.
Collection and delivery
2 spots. Hold the gifts and get them to the party.
Group meal contribution
4 spots. Optional. Use this when the gift is dinner, not a box.
Teacher or coach cash pool
5 spots. PTA or team gift. Put the Venmo or PayPal handle in the description.
This list adds up to 27 spots. The free plan holds 100 signups per event, so a class gift fits.
Group gift FAQ
How do I set up a group gift sign-up sheet?
Start from this template, write the occasion and the spending limit, and share the link. People claim a card amount or a wish-list item. On Pro, you can describe the gift instead ("baby shower for Maya, $25 cards, three wrap helpers") and Create With AI drafts the slots for you.
Is this a store registry or a signup sheet?
It is a signup sheet. It does not replace a Target or Amazon registry. Use it when a class, a team, or an office is pooling money or claiming who buys which item so two people do not buy the same blender.
Can I collect money through SignUpSpark?
On Pro you can put your Venmo or PayPal link on the event and mark each payment as received. The platform fee is $0. On Free, put the handle in the description and keep your own tally.
Do people need an account to claim an item?
No. They open the link, pick a slot, and type a name and email. No password and no app.
Is the group gift sign-up free?
Yes. The free plan holds up to 100 signups per event, and this template uses 27 spots, so a class gift fits. Reminders go out 24 hours and 1 hour before, and the page has no ads. A second event open at the same time needs Pro ($99/year).
