Trunk-or-Treat
Trunk-or-treat sign-up sheet for churches and schools
Decorated cars, candy donations, and volunteer shifts on one link, so the week of the event you're not scrolling a 140-message group text to figure out who's parking where.
Free to start. No credit card. No ads on the page families see.
What to put on the sheet
- A decorated-trunk slot with one spot per parking space you can actually fill. When the spots run out, the slot closes, so nobody pulls into a lot that's already full.
- Candy donations by bag size, not a vague "bring candy" line.
- Setup crew for cones, signs, and the check-in table.
- Parking or traffic volunteers if cars will be lining up to get in.
- A games booth, if you're running a ring toss or a duck pond beside the trunks.
- Cleanup, plus a plan for the leftover candy.
- Two lines in the description: what time trunk cars should arrive to park and decorate, and the rain plan (fellowship hall, gym, or a rain date).
Example slots
Decorated trunk (parking spot)
20 spots. One car per spot. Count the lot and leave a fire lane.
Candy donation (large bag)
10 spots. Sealed, individually wrapped. Name the bag size on the slot.
Setup crew
6 spots. One hour before: cones, signs, check-in table.
Parking / traffic
4 spots. Keep the line moving and the fire lane clear.
Games booth
4 spots. Optional ring toss or duck pond beside the trunks.
Cleanup
4 spots. Sweep up wrappers and store the leftover candy.
These six slots add up to 48 spots. The free plan holds 25 signups per event, so trim the list for a smaller lot, or use Pro for unlimited signups.
Trunk-or-treat FAQ
How do I organize a trunk-or-treat sign-up for a church or school?
Start from the trunk-or-treat template and set the trunk spots to the number of cars your lot really holds. Put one link in the bulletin or the school newsletter. Families claim a trunk, a candy donation, or a shift, and the page shows what's still open.
How many cars should I allow?
Count the lot, not the wish list. If your lot fits 25 cars with the fire lane open, set the trunk slot to 25 spots. When it fills, families who missed out can still bring candy or take a shift.
What candy should people bring?
Sealed, individually wrapped candy only. If you need volume, name the size on each slot ("one bulk bag" or "two 50-count bags"). Otherwise you'll get a handful of fun-size packs and a candy table that's bare by 6:30. Some churches also set up one trunk with non-food treats, like stickers and glow sticks, for kids with food allergies.
Can one family decorate a trunk and bring candy?
Yes, if you allow it. By default each person signs up for one slot. Check "Let one person sign up for more than one slot" when you build the event, and a family can take a trunk and a candy bag.
Is the trunk-or-treat sign-up free?
For a smaller lot, yes. The free plan holds 25 signups per event, counted across every slot. The full template has 48 spots, so on the free plan you would trim it, for example to 15 trunks, 5 candy bags, and 5 helpers. Pro removes the cap for $8.25 a month billed annually, or $12 month to month. Families never see ads either way.
