MHS Golf Try Outs 2026
We would love to have some help for try outs. We need at least two volunteer parents for registration and two for scoring. This is easily split into two 3-hour shifts if that is easier for people. For Monday and Wednesday, the shifts would be from 9 AM until 12 PM and from 12 PM until about 3 PM (might be slightly later depending on the last group’s finish time). On Tuesday, the shifts would be from 6 AM until 9 AM and 9 AM until 12 PM. Again, I believe this would be better with two people per shift. Volunteers will check players in, making sure they are approved and registered, and will double check tee times. Volunteers will also overview scoring at the end of rounds, by ensuring that the players review each scorecard and agree to the scores, ensure that the math is correct, and ensure that each scorecard has two signatures. Scorers will also ensure that the scores are properly entered into Golf Genius. By have these volunteers, our coaches can be on the course observing the players, which is more important this year given the number of new players trying out.
