Artist Check-In volunteers are often the first point of contact for participating artists, setting the tone for a welcoming and organized event experience. Your role is to ensure each artist is checked in efficiently, receives the correct materials, and is directed to their booth space. Key Responsibilities: Greet artists warmly and professionally upon arrival Verify artist names against the check-in list Distribute artist information (credentials, booth info, event materials) Provide clear directions to booth locations and unloading areas Answer basic event questions or direct artists to the appropriate staff member Help maintain an organized and orderly check-in area What to Expect: Busy periods, especially during peak arrival times Artists may have questions about setup, parking, or schedules Some artists may arrive early or late—remain flexible and patient Tips for Success: Be friendly, calm, and solution-oriented Listen carefully and communicate clearly When unsure, don’t guess—ask a staff lead for assistance Keep materials organized and check-in lines moving efficiently Your role is essential to creating a smooth, positive start to the event for every artist.
